If God killed many, are Christians worshiping a mass murderer?
By Kevin Onuma,
InformAfrica – If God has killed many over the years according to the bible, are Christians worshiping a mass murderer? That is the topic being discussed on InformAfrica in order to re-awaken majority of our African people, who are brainwashed to believe in bible fairy tales.
Time and time again I continue to inform my African people of the need to abandon religion and it’s misguided beliefs, especially Christianity, which was once the religion I practiced, based on what I was taught, and not what I truly knew. Fortunately for me, my spiritual being granted me the urge, the strength, and courage to question the Bible and its stories. Many Christians refuse to this, based on the notion that God wouldn’t be happy with such actions and would likely punish them accordingly. They are afraid of a God who they
believe thought created them in his own image but have never seen, suppose to be their father and protector but has always threatened them with hell fire and doom if they fail to heed to his words, this led me to write about “How the bible keeps us dependent and inferior“, Africans must be informed and re-awkened.
There are many ways to prove the disadvantages of religion outweighs the advantages. When you (in your mind) minus religion out of this world, and imagine how peaceful, more beautiful, and more friendly the world would be – you would agree that religion is nothing but division.
When most people think of religion, they either think of Christianity or Islam. But why? This is because Christianity and Islam are the two most controversial, complicating, influential, and yet most powerful among all the religions on the face of Earth. This two types of religion are constantly struggling for power, aggressively converting more (shallow) followers – building an army.
However, in this topic, my focus is on Christianity and its fairy tale book called “The Bible”. Recently, I was in a gathering with my fellow African brothers and a sister (Nigerians to be exact) on a Friday night, being sociable, while enjoying good African music from Nigerian-born DMV artist D-Flex.
During this social African gathering, series of discussions evolved – from business to cooking, to music and lifestyle, including that of religious beliefs, most especially Christianity – which is pretty much the only religion the Igbo people of Nigeria practice. This type of social gathering is what I like to call “AfricansConnect“.
During this AfricansConnect session, many knowledge, information, and wisdom were exchanged from one person to the other. However, the moment we proceeded towards religious beliefs and whatnot, I was privileged to share some knowledge, giving my fellow African brothers something to think about. Below are some of the keypoints I made:
- Is Jesus black or white? (They don’t know. But they believe he once lived on earth, performing miracles. I had them thinking.)
- Who wrote the bible? (They don’t know. But yet they believe everything the bible says. Again, I had them thinking.)
- How about the bible story of the creation of life on Earth? You believed it when you were a kid, do you still believe it now? (Not much was said about this, but I had them thinking.)
- Why are you afraid to question the bible? You don’t want to anger God for fear of what he will/can do? (Again, I have them thinking.)
At this very point, I made reference to several passages in the bible which states how God killed and tortured many people who disobeyed him or his commandments. (Imagine, we are being commanded or face death when we refuse. Is this not slavery if the stories in the bible are actually true?).
I brought up the story of Noah, the Ark, and the flood – which can be found in the Bible’s book of Genesis, chapters 6 through 9; where God senselessly murdered millions of humans and billions of animals in the flood. (You can read more about the story of Noah here: Understanding Noah’s flood).
Noah’s flood is not the only place in the bible where God displayed his wickedness towards mankind, mindlessly slaughtering his people, who many have been misled to believe created us in his own image. There are several other places in the bible with references to God’s mass murder.
If God has killed (as reported in the bible) and is willing to kill or torture his own people for any reason whatsoever, what does that tell us? Are Christians worshiping a mass murderer? This same God, many were misled to believe created “Ten Commandments” with the 6th commandment stating that: You shall not commit murder, but yet this our so called God commits grievous murder in mass quantities and brags about it in the bible. It’s like someone killing your brothers and sisters and rubbing it on your face.
Many Christians have this misconception that if they desist from worshiping God they will burn in hell along with the rest of the unbelievers. So in order for Christians not to go to hell, but rather heaven, they must continue to worship God or surfer his wrath when he comes down to Earth.
I explained to my fellow Africans on this very day – they need to FREE their mind. Anyone that believes in all this bible fairy tales is definitely enslaved – mentally. Most Christians refuse to believe their worshiping of some man-made God or believe of bible fairy tales constitutes their mental enslavement.
They believe in Mary’s virgin birth, Jesus turning water into wine, Jesus performing magic with 2 loaves of bread and a fish to feed the multitude, Jesus walking on top of sea water, among many other unrealistic events reported in the bible. Believing that Jesus or God does exist is like believing Spiderman and Superman does exist, living a life of fairy tales and not reality. Another place in the bible that talks about one of God’s massacres can be found in the book of Exodus chapter 12 verse 28:
So the people of Israel did just as the LORD had commanded through Moses and Aaron. And at midnight the LORD killed all the firstborn sons in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn son of Pharaoh, who sat on the throne, to the firstborn son of the captive in the dungeon. Even the firstborn of their livestock were killed. Pharaoh and his officials and all the people of Egypt woke up during the night, and loud wailing was heard throughout the land of Egypt. There was not a single house where someone had not died.
As you can see in this bible verse, the death of the children is directly at the hand of God. In today’s society anyone who commits this sort of massacre will receive justice and end up behind bars for life.
A message to my fellow African brothers and sisters
If you think a God that reportedly killed millions of people – men, women, children; and also promoted slavery among other atrocities, is an awesome God – I beg you to FREE YOUR MIND. If you know what life is truly about, you wouldn’t base your living on religious beliefs.
Ever heard of the Chinese philosophy “Yin-Yang? It pretty much represents the two major forces in the universe, negative and positive, light and darkness, etc. What I’m trying to say is that, naturally, life cannot be one way – it goes both ways: “Good and Bad”. It involves living a balanced life despite the good and the bad, the pain and the joy, the ups and the downs. No matter the situation just keep strong and maintain your balance in life.
Understanding that when you do good – you’d get good back in return and when you do evil you’d get the same back in return.
In conclusion, why occupy our minds worshiping a mass murderer, forcing our African children down the same path, encouraging division; when we could be busy building ourselves, living right and doing good, loving and helping one another? Out of over 7 billion people in the world today, there are about 2.31 billion Christians, and 1.54 billion Muslims, according to current statistics – with Christians claiming 33% of the world population, and Muslims 22%. What about the remaining 45%? How have they been living without Christian and Islam beliefs?
Find time to research this things, and get to understand how they are living, including what religious beliefs they practice – if any. Expand your knowledge beyond the bible. You are the God (supreme being) of yourself.
Discover. Experiment. Understand. Life is scientific.
