Rwanda discovery day held in Senegal

The Embassy of Rwanda in Senegal in collaboration with the Rwandan Diaspora and Friends of Rwanda held the Rwanda Discovery Day event last Saturday.

During the event, His Excellency the Ambassador Gérard Ntwari presented on the Political and Socio – Economic situation of Rwanda.

Amb. Ntwari specified policies and projects that enabled Rwanda to emerge to current level; security stability, good governance, decentralization where he explained that local authorities were empowered and different services the citizens need are rendered at the sector level and zero tolerance to corruption.

Economically, he mentioned about quick service delivery whereby it takes only four days after application to get a Rwandan ordinary passport, online Visa application; “One Stop Center for business registration and other necessary documents by RDB, Electronic service delivery of different Services Rwanda Revenue Authority and Banks,” noted Amb. Ntwari.

H.E. Ntwari added that Government is focused and has a long way to go in order to reach its vision of sustainable development.

He called upon all Rwandans and others interested, to invest in Rwanda hence giving their hand in the development of the Country.

According to a press statement from the Embassy, the guests were given the chance to ask questions after presentations and Testimonies where many diplomats were very curious to know how Rwanda managed to excel in different aspects during a short time.

Many guests asked different questions and were answered by Amb. Ntwari, Other presenters, testimony presenters and also patriotic Rwandans in the audience intervened in responding to the questions.

The event attracted expatriates in Senegal, business leaders, diplomats and Rwandans including those dispersed in the dessert parts of Senegal.

Guests were treated to a variety of Rwandan cultural dance and songs.
