The federation presidents who hold the votes to the presidency seat at the top of football’s world’s governing body have had impunity over corruption thanks to the Swiss politician. Fifa’s laxity to ask for accountability from it’s member federations, coupled with the fact that the body doesn’t tolerate government interference means many of the African federation presidents are untouchables, giving them liberty to misuse funds since they have protection from “above”.
