Intro: Truth About Christoper Columbus & Columbus Day ~ Crimes Against Humanity

“They are well-built people of handsome structure….and show as much love as if they were giving their hearts….with fifty men we could subjugate them all and make them do whatever we want.” -Christopher Columbus.

Columbus returned to the island with seventeen ships, fifteen hundred men and a message from God.

They issued documents to be read to the native people, saying if you don’t convert to solicism and give us the gold, we will do all sorts of harm to you, we will kill your family, we will kill you, we will take your land, we will enslave you.

Then when the native didn’t tell them where the gold was, in most cases, they didn’t know where the gold was, the Spanish simply tortured this people, they burned at the stake alive, they fed them to large hunting dogs. It was death and destruction.

After Christopher Columbus came Bartolome de las Casas (Dominican priest & writer), who came and continued as the governor of the island, during his reign he reduced the population of native Indians from about 8 million to 100 thousand by the time he left around 1550.

“They hanged 13 natives at a time in honor of Christ our Savior and the 12 Apostles. Straw was wrapped around their torn bodies and they were burned alive.”

They took babies from their mothers breasts, grabbing them by their feet and smashing them against rocks.”

“They would cut Indians hands and leave them dangling by a shred of skin…. and threw others to the dogs, and thus they were torn to pieces.”.

Columbus is symbolic, but what Columbus symbolizes is serious.

Columbus being valorized in the mythology of the united states is roughly the same as Germany valorizing Henry Kimler now, and then teaching this to Jewish students as well as German students and conditioning them to accept it.

Africans living in America or anywhere else in diaspora, should refrain from celebrating what they don’t know or have shallow knowledge about, be it Columbus day, Thanksgiving day, Easter, Christmas, etc. Make time for truth, the truth is never far away.
