Scientists synthesize anti-malaria drug with the help of oxygen and light
Max Planck scientists have discovered a very simple way of synthesising the artemisinin molecule, which is known as an anti-malaria drug from traditional Chinese medicine and has an extremely complex chemical structure. The discovery will pave the way for an inexpensive and large-scale production of artemisinin in the future.
‘Protein microarrays’ may reveal new weapons against malaria
